Privacy Policy
Your private journal
Begin your journal creates a local profile, not an online account. Your name, cropped profile photo, journal pages, drafts, mood check-ins, bookmarks, review selections, settings and seed history are stored on this device. Explore sample journal uses separate sample data. Rimone does not send this content to a server or use analytics, advertising or tracking services.
Writing and Deep review
Writing saves your words and selected reflection prompt. Mood check-ins save your chosen mood and intensity. Deep review assembles selected saved pages and mood counts locally; it does not call a model or generation service. Review snapshots are stored with the journal. Device time zone is used to organize dates.
Photos and microphone
Edit profile lets you choose a library image or take a camera photo, crop it and save the resulting profile image locally. Images are not attached to journal pages. Settings > Voice reflection requests microphone access only when you record. Audio is temporary, can be played or shared, and is removed when you leave the page. Recording stops when the app becomes inactive. You can change permissions in iOS Settings.
Exports and reminders
Download and Share prepare text files or pass content to the system share sheet. Voice reflection can share an audio file. Files you save or send outside Rimone are controlled by your chosen destination. Reminder settings export a calendar event for you to import; Rimone does not schedule background notifications or read your calendar.
Control and deletion
Leave journal closes the local session without deleting your writing. Delete journal removes its profile, records, photo and queued export files. Minimal installation flags remain to prevent repeated welcome seed grants. Copies already exported remain outside Rimone. Device backup behavior depends on your iOS backup settings. Removing the app can remove local data; export important writing first.
